Stamp of The Month Blog Hop – August 2012

This is my creation!

When I saw this stamp set(S1208 Baroque Borders), I decided that I did not like it!  I could not see how I was going to use it in my style of card making and scrapbooking.

Well, as I started to see people use this stamp set, the more I liked it!!

I decided a couple days ago to do this blog hop.  I kept looking in the papers from this catalog and decided to make a card for my son’s 2nd grade teacher for the first day of school.  That is today!!  I also used the MOJO Monday sketch.

I used Champange and Cashmere to stamp the background paper.  I used 2 different stamp from this set.  I used the Scholastic paper pack.  Then i used a 3rd stamp from the stamp of the month to stamp the sentiment cardstock.  I added Outdoor Denim ribbon to the card to give it a little dimension.  The “Back to School” is from the stamp set called School is Here.

 I love how this turned out.  I hope the teacher likes it as much.

This card is one that I made last week that I thought I would include here too.  I saw a similar card done by another Close to My Heart consultant.  This is one of the things that made me love this stamp!!    I stamped in Slate and inked a Paper flower and butterfly. I used a bling brad in the middle of the flower.  The Sympathy statement is from the stamp set Words Of Comfort.

I think this makes a beautiful sympathy card!!
